There's something brutal, yet serene about this photograph that I can't quite put my finger on - which is why I keep coming back for more, I suppose. There's an intimacy in that playfulness; an incidental, rather than elaborate, sense of nudity, which makes his work stand out. There's something pure, innocent, and powerful about this nude; the model isn't without flaws, and the shot itself isn't perfect either - but that's where the beauty comes from.
